Tumbina

BDA has also completed two recreational projects namely Taman Tumbina (TTB) and Similajau National Park. Located on a 36.4 hectares (520 acres) site at Tanjung Kidurong Recreational area which is about four kilometres from the town centre, the concept of TTB is the integration of a zoological and botanical garden. It makes a good visit to see the samples of birds and animals of Malaysia whereby 67 species (457 individuals) of birds, mammals and reptiles, the first aviary in Sarawak as well as features a variety of plants. The Similajau National Park, which is about 20 kilometres north-east of Bintulu, is currently one of the main tourist attractions in Bintulu.

Another recreational outlet in Bintulu is the famous Niah Caves which is about 120  kilometres or one and a half hours drive from Bintulu town.

Bintulu is richly endowed with beautiful beaches and rivers. These natural attractions provide another recreational option for the residents in Bintulu where they can either go for picnic at the beach or river safari.
