19 February 2017- Trails of mud, dirt, and dust caused by heavy vehicles leaving Mega Emart construction site were quickly cleared after they were issued a notice. BDA General Manager, Pn. Rodziah Morshidi said they send a team to check on the works of a supermarket contractor that left trails of mud, dirt, and dust on the main road, yesterday. “The call that I made at 1235hrs today received a response from Mohadir and his Enforcement team that they were already on site and a notice had been issued to the Contractor at 1315hrs”, Rodziah posted on her Facebook page. The contractor had been warned that non-compliance would risk closure of the construction site and confiscation of vehicles involved. It is a common practiced in many big cities – Kota Kinabalu, Kuching to ensure vehicles leaving construction site must be cleaned of mud and dirt before leaving a construction site. Unfortunately, many construction sites in Bintulu seem to openly disregard this rule. |
