New Bintulu Central Bus Terminal

BINTULU: The Bintulu Central Bus Terminal will be fully operational on October 25, said Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) General Manager, Rodziah Morshidi. Obviously, the Medan Jaya Bus Terminal is located next to the new bus terminal will be closed at 12 midnight on 24 October thus opening a new page to the more modern, comfortable and air-conditioned bus terminal service.

"The opening of the new bus terminal will enable the residents in and out of Bintulu to enjoy 24-hour bus terminal facilities as well as international standards including improving the quality of bus transportation services in the central region of the state," he said. He said this at a press conference held at Level 1, Hotel Li Hua Bintulu, here yesterday.

He said the new bus terminal had 17 ticket counters, 37 bus parking spaces and four parking spaces dedicated to the tour bus. He said the bus terminal is also equipped with special security features including Closed Circuit Cameras (CCTV) to ensure the safety of the public using the terminal every day. "All this clearly proves BDA with relevant government agencies to emphasize the quality of infrastructure and infrastructure in Bintulu in order to make this city a comfortable place to live," he said. He also said that intensive planning is being developed to develop the old bus terminal site which is something that will definitely provide comfort to the people around Bintulu.
