BINTULU: Local contractors awarded grass-cutting and drain/culvert de-silting work in Bintulu are reminded to give quality performance in order to be given more contracts in the future.
Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) general manager Datu Mohidin Ishak said contract monitoring would be stricter to ensure all contractors meet the high standard agreed upon.
He said the internal auditor for BDA would monitor the progress of every contract to ensure smooth implementation.
A total of 18 contracts worth RM4.2 million for grass-cutting and drain/culvert de-silting work were signed between BDA and local contractors at Wisma Bintulu yesterday.
According to him, BDA will not compromise on poor performance and that after three notices, contracts will be terminated if the contractor is still unable to complete the grass-cutting.
For drain and culvert de-silting work, a three-month grace period will be given to improve, especially in certain areas....
