2 March 2026, Bintulu – A cheque presentation ceremony was held for a contribution amounting to RM150,000 from the Bintulu Port Authority as a strategic partner in support of the organization of the Borneo International Kite Festival 2026, which will take place from 22 to 26 July 2026.

The contribution cheque was presented by Kapt. Hj. Zakhir Khan bin Yusop, General Manager of BPA, to Dato Hj Muhamad Yakup bin Kari, General Manager of BDA, on behalf of the organizer. This strategic collaboration reflects the continued commitment of both parties to strengthening the development of the tourism sector, cultural initiatives, and community activities in Bintulu.

The festival is expected to attract both local and international participants, further enhancing Bintulu’s image as a world-class tourism event destination.
